Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) on hi-res screens

Upgrading a computer is always nice. Faster hardware, more RAM, nice screen and that wonderful new computer smell.... 

However, with higher resolution screens comes responsibility for the software to scale correctly. When using my new system with fractional scaling, everything is working fine at 150% on 2256x1504 (3:2 Framework laptop 13), except GIMP. For whatever reason trying to scale the icons doesn't work.

This was not ideal. However I thought about trying the new GIMP 3 using the Flatpak, I wonder what that looks like. And here is what it is:

Much nicer. 

Just a reminder that when your Linux system doesn't have the latest packages, Flatpaks are there for the rescue. ....At least most times.
